New Mexico Lobo Justin Watari to Play 2nd Base for the Heat in 2017


Chico, CA:  The Chico Heat have announced that infielder Justin Watari, from the University of New Mexico will join the Heat for the 2017 summer season.  Watari, from Roseville, CA is in his first year with the Lobos.  Watari is the second New Mexico Lobo to commit to the Heat for 2017, joining infielder Chris Smutny.

At Woodcreek High School: Earned two varsity letters in baseball …  hit .436 over 94 at bats in 32 games as a Senior … .546 OBP and .606 SLG during his Senior year … Was named 2016 First Team Sierra Foothill League … received Honorable Mention to the 2016 Sacramento Bee All Metro Team …
