FEBRUARY 21, 2018 - CHICO, CA: The Chico Heat have announced the addition of pitcher Cole Eigenhuis, from University of Washington for the 2018 summer season. Eigenhuis, from Benecia, CA is in his first year with the Huskies.
"Cole has all the physical tools you look for in a Pac-12 weekend starter," said Washington Head Coach LIndsay Meggs. "He already sits comfortably at 86-90 miles per hour and has good feel for his breaking ball. Cole is very athletic for his size and as he continues to get stronger I can see his fastball settling in the 89-94 MPH range. Cole creates great tilt with that release point and once his secondary stuff catches up."
He was Two-time First Team Solano County Athletic Conference and Pitcher of the Year while playing for Benicia High School. Went 8-0 with a 1.29 ERA as a senior, striking out 72 in 62.1 innings. As a junior, was 7-1 on the season with a 1.60 ERA with 74 's. He was a 2015 and 2016 Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention
